VM-7 Series Monitors
The VM-7 series supervisory monitor is designed for use on critical rotating machinery equipment with flexible and configurable monitoring needs.
In addition to the flexible hardware configuration, the design is very user friendly allowing operations and checks to be performed on the monitor without stopping operation of the monitor.
Each VM-7 monitoring card works independent from the other cards and on each measurement different alarms can be configured. Each monitoring card has 4 measurement channels (6 for temperature) and the availability of 6 relay outputs per card. An additional 18 channel relay card can be added in the rack. All the monitoring cards are hot-swappable cards. The rack is equipped with Buffered output signals on the front BNC and on the rear terminals. This allows the end user to perform a detailed analysis through data collection and spectral data analysis.
In addition the monitor is equipped with a 4-20 mA output signal for each monitored channel. These signals can be wired to a local SCADA system.
The buffered output signal from the rear of the rack on terminal strips can be used for additional data processing and data storage in a CMS system architecture
The VM-7 is a blind monitor. On the front panel the monitor is only equipped with LED indications.
A display software is available and can be installed on any computer, or panel mount display with a Windows operating system.
The software allows you to display bar graph, trending plots, machine configurations for multiple monitors. The trending data can be stored on a computer and it can be easily brought up on screen.
Modbus/TCP communication
The VM-741 communication module provides a modbus/TCP communication output which can be connected to any DCS, PLC for data trending or integration into the operator interface. System structure
